"Loree and Ward,
If the first demo for just three hours this evening is any indication of how well it will do... Almost all the product the store ordered is gone! Trina said it was the best results for a demo, ever. It is all about your product. Congrats!" |

"Mulay's Sausage is hands down the best I've had. You can taste the quality and care put into their product and the fact that it's also all natural makes it extremely marketable."
Jeremy Glas C.E.C.
Chairman-Colorado Chefs Association
Executive Chef - Wynkoop Brewing Company
“There is love in that sausage!...” Stephanie R. Warner
"We cooked up one pkg Monday night and the rest went straight to the freezer. And, by the way, the mild sausage is just wonderful. The grownups in this house are big fans of the hot, but the young kids (3, 5) aren't so convinced - the mild however??? Let's just say it was dinner Monday, lunch Tuesday, dinner Tuesday and I'm sure it will be requested again today. Thanks again and we'll be back."
Jennifer Lint, -Montana, valued repeat web customer!
"I browned up a couple pounds of the 1# bulk sausage to see how much grease it created. I was very impressed! It only produced about 4 ounces of fat. My wife browned up 1.5# of the leading grocery stores house brand a few days later to make a dish and we got almost 8 ounces from .5# less product!"
Ed DuBoius, Grocery Sales, St. Louis MO
"We just tried all of your samples all of us were quite impressed. We have a chef on out team who worked in several casino’s including Bellagio and he is impressed. Thanks and have a great weekend!"
David DeVane
President/CEO, Sysco Food Services of Las Vegas
“Really outstanding sausages!” Mayra Martinez, St. Helena, CA
"Friends, …Several of you have been to previous tailgating parties (or wine barbecue’s in the Redlands) with me and know what a "Mulay" is: the best damn sausage ever made. It is all natural, no nitrates, no artificial crap and 80% lean ( or as my partner, Janet, says " only 20% fat" ). I am bringing in 30 lbs of Mulay’s from Crested Butte, Colorado, where they sell this sausage in a health food store, for the game and can already hear some of my sausage buddies chanting, " Let's Go Canes" and then singing Mulay, Mulay to the tune of "Louie , Louie" Damn, I wish the game was starting in a couple of hours…"
John W. Kozyak, Miami, Fl
Friends and clients, dropped by my home several months ago with a bag of sausages from Colorado that they claimed were the best they ever had. We grilled them up and found them outstanding! So yesterday I called Mulay’s, in Colorado, and ordered up 10 lbs of their sausages. We will be grilling those this Saturday!"
Michael Bittel - Sunset Corners, Cora
"We've ground and seasoned all 3 samples this morning...the Hot, Mild and Breakfast. Honestly, very nice flavor. They seemed to be even more flavorful than the samples we tried last week. Everyone was very impressed with the flavors. Good sausage."
Brady Corriere, Meat Broker, Denver
"My husband is from Wisconsin, so he knows his sausage, and he eats a lot of it. He enjoyed Mulay Sausage so much that I bought he and my father a case of the sausage for their birthdays. For the birthday celebration we cooked some of the sausage and my brother-in-law ate 8 sausages, with buns!"
Tammy Scott, Gunnison, CO
"I love sausage and seek out the world's best. Some would call me a sausage connoisseur. Mulay's Hot and Spicy earns five stars, and a permanent spot on the third shelf of my refrigerator!"
John Norton, Crested Butte, CO
"I'm remembering how Uncle Ralph cleaned the bowl of Thanksgiving stuffing made with Mulay’s sausage. He just couldn’t get enough!"
Fran Weisman, Lantana, FL
"Well, I love it because it is so flavorful with just the perfect amount of spice! I have not been able to eat other Italian sausages since trying this one. It is by far the best!"
Margee Sekich, Berthod CO
"We stopped being vegetarians for Mulay Sausages! After years of living our vegetarian life style, the aroma of Mulay’s Sausage, coming from the 4th of July booth in Crested Butte, finally convinced us to give one a try... needless to say, Mulay’s is a part of our carnivorous diet today!"
Vicki and Chuck Shaw, Crested Butte, CO
"Congratulations in your efforts to be amongst the best!"

Mulay's Sausage Corporation's Success Linked to Longtime Family Recipe
This growing all-natural sausage producer's roots date way back in Sicily's history
CRESTED BUTTE, Colo. (November 9, 2009) - Some of the best products are those that start as a family tradition and become a hit with friends. That’s how Mulay’s Sausage Corporation, a maker of all-natural, 80% lean sausage, got its start at the popular Independence Day celebration in the laid-back mountain town of Crested Butte, Colo., the enterprise’s home base. They celebrated their 20th year of sausage sales this year at the town’s 4th of July bash with a sausage eating contest!
Great taste grows over time
Loree Mulay-Weisman and her husband, Ward, developed a cult following around the country by selling Italian sausage sandwiches at several Crested Butte summer festivals over the years. The great response lead to expanded production and sales in local stores, then to the development of www.thesausagelink.com in 2003 to meet year-round, national requests for the sausage. They have since expanded their product line and distribution channels and entered the West Coast market in June 2009.
"We spent 12 hours making 400 sausages with a Kitchen Aid for that first festival—grinding fresh, lean pork, mixing spices and stuffing the sausage by hand," recalls Mulay-Weisman.
Mulay’s Sausage is made according to a centuries-old recipe from Sicily, Italy, passed down by Mulay-Weisman’s family. The Mulay Family Crest dates back to 1326 AD in Palermo, Sicily, and reached the United States when her great-grandparents immigrated and settled in Pueblo, Colo. Loree and Ward’s two young daughters are fifth-generation Coloradoans, and the family business is a Colorado Proud company, meaning it has been recognized by the Colorado Department of Agriculture as a producer of locally raised and processed food products.
Products that are all-natural & local
Today, Mulay’s Sausage product line includes mild Italian, hot Italian, killer hot Italian, and breakfast sausage, all sold as links or ground. They have just expanded their line of authentic, traditional sausage recipes to include a brätwurst and chorizo.
Through the years the recipe for Mulay’s Sausage has remained all natural with no nitrates, preservatives or artificial colors. They use only Natural US Pork. The sausage is also Gluten Free, soy, dairy, MSG and sugar free too. “I used to ask my nana why her sausage tasted so good, and she said, ‘There is no secret; good ingredients and love make the sausage so delicious.’ Our goal is to continue this tradition and passion for making great sausage,” says Mulay-Weisman.
The company is a member of the Natural Products Association and is certified gluten free by the Celiac Spruce Association.
